NWT Youth Treatment Centre
I volunteered at the NWT Youth treatment centre for a few years in high school as well as my first few years of University. This volunteer experience was one of the reasons I chose to pursue my Education Degree. This experience challenged me as a person and as a leader. I learned just as much and if not more from the Youth as they did from me. I have a soft spot for youth at risk and would love to help make a difference in their lives. My goal is to eventually work more specifically with behavioral and trauma therapy within the school and to work specifically with the youth at risk.
NWT Special Olympics Rhythmic Gymnastics Team
I volunteered throughout most of high school as a student coach for the NWT Special Olympics Rhythmic Gymnastics team. This provided me with the opportunity and the skills to work and play with people of all ages and abilities.
