Historical Events

In my EDEF class, I did a presentation based on the residential school system. This opportunity gave me the chance to research this topic and learn more about the history of the local area. I had to focus on how I would teach this difficult topic to my classroom one day. I chose to focus on the grade 5 curriculum and build a unit plan with activities, literature, difficult topic discussion considerations and how I would teach it in my classroom. This presentation was a great way for me to learning more about a particular historical event and how I would teach it in the classroom.
